The musical line up featured an impressive array of top names for a festival in it's first year. Seth Lakeman was my personal favourite although other members of the side also enjoyed Eliza Carthy, Bellowhead and The Peatbog Faries amongst others.
Obviously the high spot of the entire festival was from 1.30 to 4.30 on the Saturday afternoon when festival-goers had the chance to take in not one, but two, dance sets by Pretty Grim bookending the Bounty Hounds stage set.
On Sunday evening we had been timetabled to lead a dance workshop at 8 o'clock. Due to the late timing we had to change from our usual children's workshop to something more challenging for adult dancers. Over twenty morris people learnt and performed Ally Pally, the first morris dance I learned almost 14 years ago. In fact there were even more people who would have joined in if space had permitted, most of them stayed to watch.
We're all looking forward to a return trip next year!
