After a week of quite grotty weather it was great to wake up to bright blue skies. As we arrived at Snape it was obvious that there was a fantastic turn out for the event. Even better we had a great spot to perform on.
As 12 o'clock approached, I started trying to attract an audience for our first set. One or two people drifted in our direction but most seemed rivetted by the attractions of the other stalls and activities. Would this work I wondered? Undeterred I kept up my announcements and was glad to see the trickle of punters become a steady stream until there must have been a couple of hundred people watching.
During the afternoon we did two sets, both involving some dancing by us and a teaching workshop. We seemed to go down well with our audience. In fact I noticed some people who watched the first set and came back for the second. Even better we attracted a possible five new dancers! Here's hoping for a repeat invitation for next year.
